Project Overview

LLB Decorators Ltd was appointed to carry out a full external repaint and refurbishment project at JO Sims in Pinchbeck. The project involved the preparation and painting of a range of external structures across the site, including steel staircases, supporting framework, metalwork and container units.

With the various structures forming a prominent part of the industrial site, the aim was to refresh their appearance while providing a durable, professional finish capable of withstanding the demands of an external commercial environment.

The Challenge

The project covered a number of large external structures constructed from different materials, including steelwork, staircases, platforms and container units. Each area required careful preparation to ensure the surfaces were suitable for painting and that the finished coating would provide long-lasting protection.

The scale and height of the steel staircases and elevated framework also presented additional challenges. Careful planning and safe working practices were essential to allow our team to access all areas while maintaining the required quality and consistency throughout the project.

As the work took place within an active commercial and industrial environment, the project also needed to be completed efficiently while working around the wider activities taking place on site.

Our Approach

The project began with thorough preparation of all surfaces. Existing coatings and areas requiring attention were assessed and prepared to create a suitable foundation for the new paint system.

LLB Decorators then carried out the full external repaint across the steel staircases, structural framework, platforms, handrails and container units. Spray painting techniques were used where appropriate to achieve an efficient and consistent finish across larger areas and metal surfaces, while detailed sections were carefully completed to ensure complete coverage.

Throughout the project, particular attention was given to achieving a uniform appearance across the different structures. Careful preparation and application helped ensure the finished coatings not only improved the appearance of the site but also provided additional protection for the external metalwork.

The Result

The completed project significantly refreshed the appearance of the JO Sims site in Pinchbeck. The newly painted steelwork, staircases, framework and containers now provide a clean, consistent and professional appearance across the external areas.

The combination of thorough preparation, professional application and spray painting techniques allowed LLB Decorators to deliver an efficient and high-quality result across a varied range of structures.
